Rob Reiner’s Daughter Made a Distressing 911 Call After Discovering Her Parents

More troubling details have emerged following reports that Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home over the weekend. The couple were discovered on Sunday, December 14, inside their gated residence. According to reports cited by The Mirror, authorities described the scene as a “horror double murder,” with injuries believed to be consistent with stab wounds. The bodies were reportedly found by their daughter, Romy Reiner, who contacted police.

TMZ later reported that investigators are examining whether the deaths followed a heated family dispute. Citing unnamed sources, the outlet claims Romy told officers she believed a family member may have been involved and allegedly described that person as “dangerous,” suggesting they should be considered a suspect. Their son, Nick Reiner, is said to be cooperating with authorities as the investigation continues.

A law enforcement source told the Los Angeles Times there were no signs of forced entry at the home, adding to concerns that the incident may have involved someone known to the couple.

During a Sunday press conference, LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton emphasized that the case remains in its early stages. He confirmed detectives were seeking a search warrant to examine the property thoroughly but stressed that no suspects or persons of interest have been officially named.

Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner, 68, had been married since 1989 and shared three children. The investigation is ongoing, and police have urged the public to avoid speculation as they continue gathering facts.
