The moment I walked into my sister Lily’s home, I knew something wasn’t right. At nine months pregnant, she should have been resting and preparing for the arrival of her baby. Instead, she was constantly on her feet, moving from one household task to another with barely a moment to catch her breath. Moving around the house, bending down, carrying items, and staying on his feet for hours required much more effort than he had imagined.

For the first time, he experienced a small glimpse of the challenges she had been facing. In the days that followed, he became much more engaged around the house, helping with chores, preparing for the baby’s arrival, and making sure Lily had the support she needed.
