Son-In-Law’s Mistress Said She Won

Marianne was only thirty-two when she died, leaving behind a young daughter and a life she had built through years of hard work, sacrifice, and determination. At her funeral, her mother was devastated as she watched her four-year-old granddaughter struggle to understand why her mother would not wake up. Beside the casket stood Ethan, Marianne’s husband, and Camille, his supposed business partner. The sight of Camille wearing Marianne’s bracelet immediately raised suspicion, especially when Camille quietly whispered, “I won,” suggesting there was much more behind the tragedy.

After the burial, Ethan and Camille returned to Marianne’s house as if they already owned everything. They moved through the home with confidence, treating it like their reward. However, their sense of victory was interrupted when Marianne’s lawyer, Mr. Sterling, arrived carrying a sealed envelope, legal documents, and a USB drive. He explained that Marianne had prepared something before her death for her mother, her daughter Sophie, and anyone who believed they would profit from her passing.

When the USB drive was opened, Marianne appeared on the screen with a message revealing that she had discovered Ethan and Camille’s plan. She had collected evidence, including bank records, insurance documents, and private messages between them. The messages showed they had been discussing gaining control of her house and finances, with one message even suggesting that Sophie would eventually “adjust” to their plans.

The most shocking evidence was security footage from Marianne’s home. The recording showed Ethan confronting Marianne over important documents. After a struggle out of view of the camera, a scream was heard followed by the sound of her falling down the stairs. Instead of immediately seeking help, Ethan and Camille waited, with Camille taking the folder Marianne had been protecting.

Mr. Sterling explained that Marianne had installed the camera because she feared Ethan was secretly accessing her private office. She had sent copies of the evidence to him in case anything happened. The recordings and documents ensured that her property, company, and money would not fall into the hands of those who betrayed her.

In the end, Marianne’s final preparations protected her daughter and exposed the truth. Sophie watched her mother on the screen as Marianne gave her a final message of love. Camille believed she had won, but Marianne had already protected everything that mattered most. Although she was gone, her courage and planning ensured that justice would eventually reach her family.
