Americans may receive $1,745 payment after Trump promised to give money to almost everyone in America – here’s when it could hit your bank

There is no confirmed official $1,745 payment program currently approved for nearly all Americans.

The figure appears in online discussions, but it does not reflect an enacted federal payment or scheduled government distribution.

President Donald Trump has previously floated the idea of a tariff-funded “dividend,” at times mentioning amounts around $2,000, but this remained a proposal rather than a finalized policy.

The $1,745 number is widely understood to come from estimates of how much tariffs may have increased consumer costs for households, not from an approved refund or stimulus payment.

In February 2026, the Supreme Court ruling on IEEPA tariffs struck down certain tariffs imposed under emergency-powers authority, creating legal uncertainty around how collected tariffs should be handled.

However, that ruling did not establish any direct payment program for consumers. Instead, it focused on how tariff revenue and potential refunds to importers should be processed.

Current legal discussions suggest that any refunds would primarily apply to importers or businesses that paid the tariffs, not automatically to individual households.

As of now, there is no verified federal plan or payment schedule for a $1,745 deposit to American bank accounts, and claims of such payments are not supported by official policy announcements.
